L’Wren Scott is heading to the high street as she teams up with Banana Republic to launch her first high fashion meets high street collection. The designer will be designing a 50 piece for the retailer with it expected to arrive in selected stores and online on December 5 – just in time for Christmas!
With the line said to incorporate the designer’s signature glamour with Banana Republic’s trademark sporty aesthetic, we can’t wait to see what the collaboration will bring to the table! Speaking out about the venture, the retailers creative director Simon Kneen said:
“L’Wren really understands what a woman loves and wants to wear. Her knack for bringing imaginative versatility and femininity to classic design is something that immediately brought us together as creatives. We share an appreciation for genuine luxury, beautiful fabrics and unexpected details. The designs created for this collection bring a modern approach to pieces you will love forever.”
As for Scott, she claims the collection will feature “little perfectly fitted and beautifully made jackets”, along with peony print jeans, classic shift dresses and “gorgeous blouses” - prices will range between £26.50 to £132.90.
Admitting she’s turned down high street collaborations before, Scott admitted the real reason as to why she decided to team up with Banana Republic, “A partnership of this scale was a first for me, and I was very excited to find a true partner in Simon,” she said. “Through this collection, we were able to bring our shared vision to life and the end result is a capsule we’re both so proud to call our own. It beautifully combines the ultra-feminine with wearable polish and will bring a sexy confidence to our consumers.”
