Sarah Curran, founder and director of my-wardrobe.com will be leaving the online retailer to “focus on new ventures.” The site was founded seven years ago in 2006, and has now become one of the biggest and well known online retailers globally.
Over the past 18 months the company had seen a few big changes, such as Harpers Bazaar’s senior fashion editor, Carmen Borgonovo being named as my-wardrobe’s fashion editor and offering to “clean up” the site. Previous to that the company hired a new global CEO, David Worby, who was former Harrods Direct director.
More changes are to be expected over the year (not including the departure of the founder herself). The company announced that they have received a new investment. CEO David Worby commented saying “The company continues to enjoy tremendous support from both consumers and brands and I look forward to continuing out plans to connect with a global audience.”
With the company practically running itself and reaching a high status, it’s now that Curran wants to leave. However as said before she’s ready to focus on other things, and said “I’m extremely proud of where we have brought my-wardrobe.com – as one of the most respected online retailers – and I wish the team every success for the future.”
